So wow this is happening. It's as exciting as it is overwhelming, but stick around for the ride anyway for endless entertainment and only slightly biased reviews.
As K has already dropped by and said hello that of course leaves only the D of the equation.
I'm Diana and it's a pleasure to be reading for you. I'm 25 and although I don't devour books quite like K does now, I'm a speedy reader and somehow own almost as many books. My mom always took care that I read a lot at home growing up, but my true love of reading didn't start till the fourth grade. Despite that, I cannot tell you what the first chapter book I read was, but I can tell you that one of the first books to move me to tears was Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. As of now I have too many books to call any one my favorite, but among my top tier series are Patricia Wrede's The Enchanted Forest Chronicles, with the badass Princess Cimorene and dragons aplenty, as well as Megan Whalen Turner's (Fan Titled) The Queen's Thief series with the sneaky, but lovable, Eugenides. Like K, I absolutely adore The Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo. My own favorite stand alone novel, James Houston's Ghost Fox, might be little known but has never let me down despite the various times I've read it.
I hope I'll be able to bring my love of books to you. To inspire you to continue reading or to return to it as I have in recent years in large part thanks to K. I believe fervently that stories are one of humanity's best bits, from mythology to sci-fi to the novels that bring our realities to life and make us rage, cry, and feel joy so profound that they become part of us.
This is also 100% an excuse to buy more books for our library.
Thanks for coming by and I hope you stick around as this particular story is just starting.
Email us with any questions or comments or come rave at us about the newest books you've read.
Be seeing you soon,
D
